The Buffalo Bills have restructured defensive tackle Kyle Williams' contract, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak.
The deal will save the Bills $1.75 million against the cap in 2016.
After a disappointing season by the entire Bills defensive line, Williams was in danger of being a cap casualty with a scheduled $8-million cap hit in 2016. The Bills dismissed defensive line coach Karl Dunbar on Sunday and released defensive end Mario Williams before free agency opened.
The 32-year-old nose tackle missed 10 games last season with a PCL injury and recorded just 14 tackles and one sack in six games played. Williams is a team captain, has spent all 10 years of his NFL career in Buffalo, and has been named to four Pro Bowls.
