Former New York Jets wide receiver Jeremy Kerley is scheduled to visit the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday, Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star reports.
Kerley was released by the Jets on Wednesday after five seasons, saving the team approximately $1.3 million against the cap.
The 27-year-old saw his playing time and production diminish in 2015 under new head coach Todd Bowles, catching 16 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns after topping 400 yards in each of his previous three seasons. He was a solid punt returner, though, averaging 8.6 yards per return on a career-high 49 attempts.
