Antonio Gates isn't going anywhere.
The San Diego Chargers agreed to a deal that will keep the veteran tight end with the team for the next two seasons at a total value of $12 million, NFL Network's Rand Getlin reports.
This means the 35-year-old Gates will likely have a very good chance of finishing his career with the only team he's played for since entering the NFL in 2003.
Gates is an eight-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro (three-time first-teamer). He's the Chargers' all-time leading receiver by more than 1,000 yards.
With Gates signing, it could increase the chances fellow Chargers tight end Ladarius Green departs in free agency.
