Mackensie Alexander fired up during media session: 'Imagine me on game day'
Former Clemson cornerback Mackensie Alexander appeared to impress during his press conference at the NFL Scouting Combine on Saturday.
The 22-year-old was energetic and passionate throughout the media session, and joked that if you thought he was fired up now "imagine me on game day."
Alexander, as most prospects do, believes he is best player at his position in the draft.
"I'm going to say, and a lot of you guys are going to say, I'm the best corner in this draft," Alexander said.
Alexander took the time to explain how he'd defend top wideout prospects Laquon Treadwell and Will Fuller, and will apparently do the same to his opponents when he reaches the NFL.
"I don't talk trash. I just speak a lot of facts," Alexander said. "I tell you what you're not going to do."
Alexander is expected by most analysts to be taken in the top half of the first round, and will likely challenge Vernon Hargreaves for the honor of being the first cornerback to hear his name being called.
