The NFL is reportedly taking steps to cut down on the headset malfunctions that have become a common occurrence for many teams.

The league will be testing a new and improved coach-to-coach communication system during the Pro Bowl, and if all goes well, it could be in place for the 2016 season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Pittsburgh Steelers reported experiencing headset issues in their season opener against the New England Patriots, which the NFL later blamed on a "power issue" at Gillette Stadium.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll also blamed faulty headsets for the early offensive issues his team experienced in their wild-card victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
