Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis returned to practice Monday in spite of a broken arm sustained during the NFC Championship Game.
Davis underwent surgery last Monday to correct the injury and over 10 screws were surgically inserted into his right arm.
During practice, Davis was seen sporting a cast on his forearm.
The Panthers star has suffered three torn ACLs over the course of his career and is adamant that he'll be able to suit up for Super Bowl 50.
Davis is undergoing the best season of his 11-year career, amassing 105 tackles, 5.5. sacks, four forced fumbles, and four interceptions. The 32-year-old was selected as a first-team All-Pro for the first time as a result.
Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said last week that he expects Davis to play in the Super Bowl, and unless he faces a setback in practice this week, expect the dynamic linebacker to take the field in a prominent role.
