Eagles' Maxwell battling SC joint sprain

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Byron Maxwell revealed he's battling a sprain in the SC joint in his collarbone area, and suggested he's questionable for Sunday against the Washington Redskins.

The injury is more painful than the more common AC joint sprain, Maxwell told Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Maxwell was in and out of a Week 15 loss to the Arizona Cardinals and said he wouldn't be able to play if it was Tuesday.

Cornerback depth is a major issue for the Eagles. With Eric Rowe also hurt, that leaves E.J. Biggers and Jaylen Watkins as the Eagles top two corners.
