Report: Bills' Carrington to undergo season-ending surgery for torn quad
Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Alex Carrington will reportedly miss the rest of the 2015 season with an injury suffered Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Carrington is set to undergo season-ending surgery Monday after being diagnosed with a torn quad tendon, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
A six-year veteran now in his second stint with the Bills, Carrington had once again been contributing as a versatile piece of a strong defensive line rotation.
His absence, along with the expectation that starter Kyle Williams will also miss the rest of the year, gives the Bills a relatively concerning lack of depth up front.
Carrington appeared in seven of Buffalo's first 11 regular-season games, cracking the starting lineup for the first time this past week.
