Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo left Thursday's game against the Carolina Panthers with a left clavicle injury.

Romo is coming off a broken left clavicle that sidelined him for seven games. He was taken directly to the locker room to undergo X-rays.

The four-time Pro Bowler was not at his best on Thursday, throwing three interceptions in the first half, with two of them returned for touchdowns.

Returning from a broken collarbone always poses a strong risk of re-injury, as the clavicle does not return to full bone strength for at least six months.

Matt Cassel replaced him at quarterback.
