The New England Patriots are expected to place offensive lineman Ryan Wendell on season-ending injured reserve, and activated center Bryan Stork.
Wendell was first sidelined earlier in the year with an unknown illness, but appeared on the injury report this week with a knee injury, which will ultimately end his campaign.
The 29-year-old will become a free agent at the end of the season.
Stork was designated to return after suffering a concussion in Week 1.
The center started 15 games in his rookie season after being selected in the fourth round of the 2014 draft. With the injuries across the Patriots' offensive line, Stork could be pressed into action immediately.
