The Chicago Bears waived quarterback David Fales on Tuesday.
Fales was selected by Chicago in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and contested for the team's backup spot against Jimmy Clausen.
It's likely Fales will be reassigned to the practice squad, according to Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times.
When Jay Cutler missed the Bears' Week 3 contest against the Seattle Seahawks, Fales was elevated to Clausen's backup.
Fales hasn't attempted a pass in his professional career thus far.
