Victor Cruz's comeback has been put on hold for at least another week after the wide receiver suffered a setback in his recovery from a calf injury.

New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin announced Thursday that Cruz has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills and there's no timetable for his return.

Cruz re-aggravated his calf injury during Wednesday's practice. He has been out of action since last October, when he suffered a torn patellar tendon.

The Giants worked out veteran wide receivers Hakeem Nicks and Wes Welker on Tuesday, and Coughlin said there's "always a chance" the team could sign either "if the need comes around."
