Report: JPP 'lost a ton of weight' after fireworks accident; to be re-evaluated in 6 weeks
New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said Jason Pierre-Paul was in "an outstanding frame of mind" when he underwent a physical with the team, but the same apparently can't be said for the defensive end's muscle mass.
Pierre-Paul has "lost a ton of weight because he obviously hasn't been able to work out," Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports, per Pro Football Talk.
The 26-year-old had his right index finger amputated as a result of a Fourth of July fireworks accident. He also suffered a fractured thumb and received skin grafts.

Pierre-Paul had "work done" on his injured hand this week and wanted to suit up for Sunday's season opener, but the Giants said "absolutely not," according to Glazer.
The team reportedly plans to re-evaluate Pierre-Paul in six weeks.
