The Miami Dolphins have claimed quarterback Logan Thomas off waivers, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The big-armed quarterback was cut Saturday by the Arizona Cardinals after they bolstered their quarterback depth by trading for Philadelphia Eagles' Matt Barkley.
Thomas will be the third-string quarterback, behind starter Ryan Tannehill and back-up Matt Moore.
The Cardinals drafted Thomas in the fourth-round of the 2014 NFL Draft, but appear to have lost faith in his ability to develop into a starting quarterback.
After both Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton went down with injury last season, the Cardinals still didn't feel comfortable starting Thomas.
Despite this, the Dolphins will get a young, talented quarterback to develop behind one of the NFL's more established quarterback situations.
