The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced the release of punter Michael Koenen on Tuesday.
The 11-year veteran joined the Buccaneers in 2011 and has served as the team's punter since then.
The move means Jacob Schum has won the Buccaneers' punting job. He averaged 51.2 yards on four punts in the Buccaneers' third preseason game.
