Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Garrett Hartley was forced to the sideline in Saturday's game against the Buffalo Bills after suffering a hamstring injury in the first quarter.
Hartley was hurt on the kickoff that followed a Steelers field-goal drive, grabbing for his right hamstring and walking gingerly off the field. Pittsburgh later announced that he would not return to the game.
The Steelers signed Hartley to a one-year deal earlier this month after longtime kicker Shaun Suisham went down with a torn ACL in the preseason opener.
Hartley has completed 81.7 percent of his field-goal attempts through seven seasons in the NFL.
