Washington Redskins linebacker Junior Galette will miss the entire 2015 season due to a torn Achilles, head coach Jay Gruden confirmed Thursday.
Galette suffered the injury during practice Wednesday in an 11-on-11 drill.
The linebacker signed a one-year contract with Washington in July to help shore up the Redskins' pass rush. Galette was released by the New Orleans Saints after a series of off-field incidents came to light over the past year.
Upon being released by the Saints, Galette unleashed a multi-tweet tirade against his former club.
Galette recorded 10 sacks and three forced fumbles in 16 games last season, serving as the Saints' best defensive player.
