Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson left practice Tuesday with an apparent leg injury, according to multiple reports.

The injury is not considered severe and "everything appears to be fine," a team source told Matt Vensel of startribune.com. It's being called a minor thigh injury at this point.

Teammates also relayed that Peterson said he is OK and will most likely practice Wednesday.

"He got tangled up and a defender fell on him," running back Jerick McKinnon said, "but he said he was all right."

The six-time Pro Bowler is returning from missing 15 games due to suspension in 2014 and is not expected to play in the preseason.
