The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have re-signed defensive end Da'Quan Bowers, the team announced Monday.
Bowers, who was brought in by the Buccaneers as a second-round draft pick in 2011, had been an unrestricted free agent since March.
At 6-foot-4 and 288 pounds, Bowers has seen time along the interior line, as well as playing end. As the Buccaneers' current depth chart is stronger at tackle than end, he figures to compete for a job there in what would be his second stint with the team.
In four seasons in Tampa Bay, he has played in 50 games, making 10 starts. He tallied 70 tackles, seven sacks, and seven passes defensed in that time.
In 2014, he played in 11 games - starting two - and recorded 21 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
