The Pittsburgh Steelers have exercised offensive guard David DeCastro's fifth-year option, NFL Network's Albert Breer reported.
DeCastro is the second player selected in the first round of the 2012 draft to have his option picked up, following Melvin Ingram of the San Diego Chargers.
The move is a no-brainer for the Steelers. DeCastro played at a Pro-Bowl level in 2014 and the Steelers must do everything they can to solidify their line in front of stars Ben Roethlisberger and Le'Veon Bell.
