New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton reiterated there is no truth to recent rumors that quarterback Drew Brees is available for trade.
Payton quickly shot down the notion while speaking to reporters at the NFL's annual meetings Wednesday, adding he believes Brees has a lot of good football left.
Payton did admit the Saints will consider drafting a quarterback to develop behind Brees, but suggested the team will seek value late in the draft rather than investing a premium pick on a passing prospect.
Brees turned 36 in January.
