Marshall's trade to the Jets was confirmed Tuesday.
Analysis:
Per the report, the Bears will receive a fifth-round draft pick from Jets in exchange for Marshall and a seventh-round draft choice. The limited return that the Bears will realize with the trade would appear to confirm the notion that the team views the wideout's departure as an addition-by-subtraction scenario, but from the Jets' perspective, the 30-year-old Marshall -- who caught 100 passes as recently as 2013 -- gives his new team a major boost in the pass-catching department. With Percy Harvin having been released by the Jets, Marshall and Eric Decker now head the team's receiving corps heading into the 2015 season.
