Report: Jaguars considered a front-runner to sign Julius Thomas
With plenty of money to spend and in need of some pass-catching weapons to pair with young quarterback Blake Bortles, the Jacksonville Jaguars may be closing in one of this year's top available tight ends.
According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, the Jaguars continue to be the primary team linked to Denver Broncos free agent Julius Thomas.
Robinson includes that a deal is not done yet, and that the Seattle Seahawks are among the teams still involved in discussions, but Jacksonville has long been the assumed destination for Thomas to receive the pay day he's seeking.
The 26-year-old has tallied 1,277 yards and 24 touchdowns as part of the Broncos' high-powered passing attack over the past two seasons and he'd certainly give the Jaguars a dynamic receiving threat for Bortles to lean on.
