The Seattle Seahawks and Marshawn Lynch have agreed to a two-year contract extension.
The deal is worth $24 million and includes $12 million guaranteed, according to multiple sources.
The extension means Lynch will be under contract with the Seahawks through 2017, after he openly mulled retirement throughout the offseason.
The running back was his dominant self in 2014, rushing for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns. He added 37 receptions for 367 yards and four touchdowns.
In all, Marshawn Lynch is under contract thru 2017. If he plays all three years (big if), he’ll make $12M this year, $9M in ’16, $10M in ’17
