Report: Broncos willing to use franchise tag on Demaryius Thomas

With all the changes around the Denver Broncos this offseason, one name that figures to be back is receiver Demaryius Thomas. 

The Broncos are prepared to use the franchise tag on Thomas if they can't get a deal done, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. 

Getting a new contract completed in the coming weeks seems like a challenge as Rapoport notes, talks have stalled between the two sides. 

Keeping Thomas could be critical to keeping some continuity in Denver's offense. Peyton Manning is still undecided about his future and fellow pass catchers Julius Thomas and Wes Welker are also headed for free agency.
