Browner wants Patriots to attack injured Seahawks secondary
Brandon Browner was a member of the Seattle Seahawks for three seasons, but that doesn't mean he has a soft spot for his former teammates.
The New England Patriots corner spoke to ESPN's Josina Anderson on Monday and indicated he would tell his teammates to attack the injuries of Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas.
"I'll tell my teammates to hit (Sherman's) elbow, (Thomas') shoulder. Try to break it if you can."
If you ever wanted to know why teams sometimes try to conceal injuries, there's your answer.
Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright wasn't impressed with Browner's comments.
"I didn't know he said that, but we don't play like that," Wright said. "We don't go out there and try to hurt guys. And I don't care if they do have an injury. We're not going out there trying to hurt people, and especially guys you're close to. If he said that, it's fine, but that's not our main focus."
Wright added that intentionally going after a player's injury needs to be taken out of the game.
"If you know a player's injured, you don't try to re-hurt him," Wright said. "You just try to play ball and play hard. But as far as going out there and targeting certain areas, that's unacceptable and shouldn't be in football."
