Lions' Raiola claims stomp on Bears' Ferguson was unintentional

Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola has found himself again explaining his actions following a dirty play.

Raiola was seen apparently jumping on the ankle of Chicago Bears defensive tackle Ego Ferguson, but the 14-year veteran claims that the action was not what it appeared to be, according to Michael Rothstein of ESPN.

"It was totally unintentional. I remember I was stumbling out. I didn't see the end of it. I apologized at the end of the game, told him it was unintentional and we shook hands and that was it," Raiola said.

This is not the first time that the Lions center finds himself pleading his case after an in-game incident.

He was fined $10,000 after swinging at New England Patriots defensive lineman Zach Moore.

He was also embroiled in a controversy after the same game after committing a cut block on a kneel-down on the final play of the same game.
