Haden suffered the injury in Week 15 and despite returning to practice Friday, the veteran will not suit up for the afternoon contest. As a result, safety Jordan Poyer will step into a starting role, per Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal. The depleted secondary could result in a big day for Cam Newton and the Carolina receivers.
