Rams' Fisher on trolling Redskins: 'I think they've got more issues than the coin toss'
In the words of the immortal George Costanza: "Stickin' it!"
St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher certainly stuck it to the Washington Redskins on Sunday, sending the six active Rams acquired in the trade that sent quarterback Robert Griffin III to Washington out for the coin toss.
Asked about his decision Monday, Fisher didn't hold back.
"I think they've got more issues than the coin toss yesterday," Fisher said.
It's hard to argue with him.
Here's more from Fisher, from ESPN's Nick Wagoner:
It made too much sense for us to go ahead and recognize the guys that probably wouldn't be here had it not been for that trade so we wanted to do that before the game. It was a memory that will last them for a lifetime. It's a good idea. I've sent other people out for different reasons as well. I'm glad you guys all noticed it.
Here are the six Rams that served as coin toss captains at midfield:
- Stedman Bailey
- Michael Brockers
- Janoris Jenkins
- Alec Ogletree
- Greg Robinson
- Zac Stacy
