The New England Patriots have restructured the contract of starting right tackle Sebastian Vollmer, according to Field Yates of ESPNBoston.com.

Vollmer was set to earn $2 million in base salary this season, with an extra $1 million in incentives if he played at least 80 percent of the Patriots' offensive snaps and $2 million if he played 90 percent.

Under the new terms of the deal, Vollmer will earn $1 million if he plays 70 percent of the snaps and $2 million if he plays 80 percent, Yates reports.

If Vollmer plays 70 percent of the snaps this season, he will also reportedly receive a $1 million roster bonus on the third day of the 2015 year, down from 80 percent before the restructure.

Vollmer has played 91.2 percent of the team's snaps through the first nine games of the season.
