Judge denies Hernandez's request to move trial

A Massachusetts judge rejected a request from former NFL tight end Aaron Hernandez to relocate his murder trial to a different county Thursday, the Associated Press reports.

A Hernandez lawyer told the judge that media coverage of the case has "poisoned" the pool of potential jurors in Bristol County, where the crime is alleged to have occurred.

Hernandez is accused of killing semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd in 2013.

The judge ruled that Hernandez's lawyers failed to prove that selecting impartial jurors will be impossible.
