Report: Chargers' Jason Verrett out 2-3 weeks, may need surgery after season

San Diego Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett will miss the next two to three weeks with a shoulder injury that has been diagnosed as a torn labrum, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Rapoport adds that Verrett may require surgery to correct his shoulder ailment, but indicates it won't happen until after the season ends.
For now, the Chargers' plan is to wait for the inflammation in Verrett's shoulder to go down. The rookie is tentatively expected back on the field after the Chargers' Week 10 bye.
