Report: Some Seahawks players campaigned for return to run-heavy offense

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch can credit his teammates with the increase in carries he saw against the St. Louis Rams.
NFL Media's Albert Breer reports that some Seahawks players campaigned openly for the team to return to a run-heavy offense, which prompted offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell to give Lynch 18 carries in Week 7.
Lynch had 10 carries a week earlier against the Dallas Cowboys, and 17 before that.
Breer identifies Bevell as a source of tension in the Seahawks' locker room because of his desire to placate wide receiver Percy Harvin early in the season. As a result, players gravitated toward line coach Tom Cable, and many within the organization began to wonder if the offense was losing its way, Breer reports.
