Report: Packers release Ryan Taylor

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

The Green Bay Packers released tight end Ryan Taylor on Monday, Weston Hodkiewicz of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.

Taylor, a seventh-round pick out of North Carolina in 2011, appeared in 50 games for the Packers over the past four seasons, catching eight passes for 45 yards and a touchdown.

The release of Taylor leaves the Packers with three tight ends on the active roster: Richard Rodgers, Brandon Bostick, and Andrew Quarless.
