Seahawks' Pete Carroll: It's time for Marshawn Lynch to get carries
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll says he's ready to get running back Marshawn Lynch more involved.
"It’s time for him to get some carries and get involved a little bit," Carroll told Pro Football Talk's Curtis Crabtree.
"I really could not be more pleased with the conditioning level that he’s had, the consistency of practice and his preparation has been great. He’ll be ready to go and I know he’s looking forward to that too,” Carroll added.
Lynch held out at the beginning of training camp and played two snaps against the San Diego Chargers last week.
He has a firm grasp on the starting job, but it would certainly benefit Lynch to start getting involved in the offense, especially considering the praise Carroll heaped on second-year rusher Christine Michael on Thursday.
