Report: Packers trade defensive tackle Jerel Worthy to Patriots
Pending a physical, Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Jerel Worthy has been traded to the New England Patriots, his agent announced Tuesday.
According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, the Patriots will receive a future pick from the Packers if Worthy makes the team.
The "pending physical" part is key. Worthy hasn't practiced yet because of a back injury.

Worthy, a second-round pick of the Packers in 2012, was sidelined for most of last season with a knee injury.
"I'm just waiting for the front office to let me go get some," Worthy said Tuesday before news of the trade broke, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "I could play. I feel really good. I feel 100 percent. But like I said before, we've always led the league in injuries and stuff so I can't really blame the front office for being really cautious with players. They're counting on me this year, so I have to step up and respond. We're just trying to take every little step we can in order to make sure we're ready to go and I don't have another injured season.
"Trust me, it's a humbling experience to go through those up's and down's. I think that mentally it has prepared me to take the next step and be a factor for this team."
