Carolina Panthers rookie Kelvin Benjamin made a strong first impression in Friday's 20-18 preseason loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Benjamin, who the Panthers have touted as their future No. 1 wide receiver, made a spectacular 29-yard touchdown catch while falling to the ground, hauling in a throw from backup quarterback Derek Anderson in the second quarter.

"Derek threw a great ball and gave me a chance to make a play," Benjamin said after the game, via Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer. "I got tangled with the corner but never took my eyes off the ball and made the play."
