Analysis:

With Carlos Rogers, Tarell Brown, and Donte Whitner all leaving the team this offseason, Dahl was expected to step up and see time at the nickel in addition to his special teams role. But the 49ers' first-round draft pick, Jimmie Ward, will likely push Dahl further down the depth chart, as his speed is better suited for the nickel position and on special teams as well.
