The St. Louis Rams made it official on Monday, signing former Detroit Lions quarterback Shaun Hill.
Hill, an eight-year veteran, went undrafted out of Maryland and spent time with the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers before joining the Lions. After starting 10 games during his first year in Detroit, Hill has served as the backup to Matt Stafford the past three seasons, seeing limited action.
The 34-year-old Hill will backup Sam Bradford in St. Louis and while he's gone 13-13 in 26 career starts, Hill has attempted a total of just 16 passes over the last three years.
