Report: DeSean Jackson expected to visit Redskins Monday

Earlier Saturday the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the Washington Redskins were considered a wild card to land the services of recently released wide receiver DeSean Jackson. It appears as if the Redskins may have more than an outside shot at the three-time Pro Bowler.

The Redskins have just under $7 million in salary cap space available, meaning they would likely have to re-work another deal to free up more room, or give Jackson a contract with a heavy signing bonus but light on base salary.

Jackson joining Washington would look to be a fit for both sides. The Redskins would get a terrific deep threat for Robert Griffin III and another weapon in a passing attack that already includes Pierre Garcon and Jordan Reed.

Jackson on the other hand would get to stay in the NFC East, and you have to imagine he would relish the opportunity to face the Eagles twice a year. Jackson's never been one to shy away from the spotlight, so expect quite a show in the event of a potential touchdown in Lincoln Financial Field.
