Browns RB Tate having a fantasy football contest with fans
Millions of people across the world play fantasy football every year and that includes some NFL players themselves.
Newly signed Cleveland Browns running back Ben Tate is one such player that is going to try his hand at the craft. Tate said via NFL.com that he is going to be running a fantasy football contest with his fans and details should be announced in the coming weeks on his Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Tate added with his opportunity to be the starter in Cleveland he thinks he could potentially be a top-10 fantasy pick.
"I guess with this new opportunity for me to be a starter now, to get to show what I can do week in and week out ... hopefully I'll be a top-15, top-10 fantasy draft pick," Tate said. "I think I'm going to deserve it, I think it's going to be worth it for you guys to pick me top 10, top 15. I definitely feel like I can put up stats every week. No doubt."
However, don't expect Tate to draft himself with a No. 1 pick in his fantasy draft if he gets it for 2014.
"I'd probably draft Cam Newton," he said. "He'll get rushing yards, he'll get passing yards, he'll throw for touchdowns and possibly rush for touchdowns."
