Newly signed Oakland Raiders defensive end Justin Tuck was hoping to return to the New York Giants, but the feeling wasn't mutual.
Tuck told the New York Daily News the Giants never came close to the Raiders' offer of two years and $11 million.
"They wouldn't have had to match it," Tuck said. "You know, at the beginning of free agency I'm going in thinking I'm not looking for a lot. If they were trying to sign me before free agency hit, or at least were trying to communicate with us, then I probably would've took somewhere around a two-year deal, $8 million, somewhere around there."
Tuck went on to say New York's offer "was pretty much disrespectful to be honest with you."
Tuck had 11 sacks last season and was a member of two Giant Super Bowl winning teams.
