Bryant is a candidate to be released by the Seahawks, the Seattle Post Intelligencer reports.

Analysis:

Bryant carries an $8.5 million cap hit and letting him go would save the Seahawks in the neighborhood of $5.5 million in salary cap space, money that would come in handy if the team wishes to retain Michael Bennett. Though his numbers in 2013 were modest -- 30 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 15 games -- Bryant's run-stopping ability and leadership have been valuable to the Seahawks, but at this stage, it's plausible that the team could decide that his salary is no longer in line with his current role.
