It was reported in late January that Davis was facing a six-game suspension for violations of the substance abuse policy, and he was banned for four games in 2011 for the same reason.
Davis is an impending free agent and this latest news is going to make it difficult for the veteran to earn himself a contract. He had just seven catches in 2013 and was made a healthy inactive on several occasions.
