Blake Bortles on combine: I want to be above average in 'every single category'
Former UCF quarterback Blake Bortles could be a potential first overall pick in May's NFL Draft and he's got a specific goal in mind for next week's scouting combine.
"I'm not the fastest guy or I won't jump the highest or the furthest or any of that," Bortles said via the Orlando Sentinel. "But I've got that sheet... and my goal is to above that (average) in every single category."
Bortles, who still hasn't revealed whether or not he'll throw in Indianapolis, has prepared a sheet that lists the historical average marks in each individual drill at the combine.
Bortles is expected to participate in the 40-yard dash, bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, 3 cone drill and shuttle run.
