Odds to win Super Bowl XLVIII MVP

Many are expecting, and rightfully so, for Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning to win the MVP this season, but when it comes to being named Super Bowl MVP, he's the favorite, but would need to win the game against the Seahawks to secure the award.

Here are odds, courtesy bet365, to win Super Bowl XLVIII MVP Sunday night.

Player Team Odds
Peyton Manning Broncos 1/1
Russell Wilson Seahawks 16/5
Marshawn Lynch Seahawks 9/2
Demaryius Thomas Broncos 22/1
Percy Harvin Seahawks 22/1
Knowshon Moreno Broncos 25/1
Eric Decker Broncos 28/1
Richard Sherman Seahawks 28/1
Wes Welker Broncos 33/1
Golden Tate Seahawks 40/1
Julius Thomas Broncos 40/1
Doug Baldwin Seahawks 40/1
Earl Thomas Seahawks 50/1
Montee Ball Broncos 66/1
Michael Bennett Seahawks 80/1
Champ Bailey Broncos 80/1
Bobby Wagner Seahawks 100/1

And even the kickers have odds, yes, the kickers!

Player Team Odds
Matt Prater Broncos 250/1
Steven Hauschka Seahawks 250/1

Just for the record, no kicker (since 1967) has ever won the MVP of a Super Bowl. In fact, since 1980, 20 quarterbacks have won the award, while only four defensive players have won. Of course, we can't forget Desmond Howard in 1997, who became the first special teams player to win the award, recording 154 kickoff return yards (99-yard return for a TD) and 90 punt return yards.
