Raiders CB Jenkins says Cowboys had a 'personal vendetta' against him
Oakland Raiders cornerback Mike Jenkins will travel to Dallas to face his former Cowboys teammates for the first time on Thanksgiving, and he will be bringing some personal baggage along with him.
The Cowboys' 2008 first-round pick signed with the Oakland Raiders earlier this year after the Cowboys allowed him to leave upon the expiration of his rookie contract. He hinted he believes the Cowboys never give him a chance to succeed.
“My swagger and my confidence never left. My last few years in Dallas had nothing to do with swagger,” Jenkins said, per Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News, when asked if his confidence has returned in Oakland.
“It was more of a personal vendetta that was going on around there, and I don’t care too much to talk about it.”
Jenkins is correct that he was perpetually on the verge of losing his starting job in Dallas, but he conveniently neglects to mention that it's plays (missed plays, more accurately) like the one below that led him to that precarious position.
