The San Francisco 49ers are open to trading All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams if the two sides can't resolve their conflict over his contract, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Williams is due $32 million in salary with a cap hit of $38.8 million in 2026, the last year of his current deal. He also has a $10-million option bonus scheduled to kick in March 20.
The 37-year-old is reportedly frustrated with the impasse.
The 49ers could also reportedly release Williams if they can't restructure his contract.
Williams has established himself as one of the best tackles of his generation. The 12-time Pro Bowler has played the past six seasons for the 49ers, making 84 starts and earning four All-Pro nods (three first-team selections).
