Ravens acquire Johnson from Panthers
The Baltimore Ravens acquired wide receiver Diontae Johnson from the Carolina Panthers, the team announced Tuesday.
Carolina will receive a fifth-round pick and a sixth-round selection in exchange for Johnson, sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Johnson leads the Panthers with 30 receptions for 357 receiving yards and three touchdowns this season. He joined Carolina ahead of the 2024 campaign after spending the first five years of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Zay Flowers (527) and Rashod Bateman (422) lead the Ravens in receiving yards. Nelson Agholor (170) ranks third among Baltimore's wideouts.
Panthers rookies Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker are expected to see more looks with Johnson's departure.
Johnson has tallied 4,720 yards and 28 touchdowns on 421 career receptions. His best season came in 2021 when he totaled 1,161 yards and eight touchdowns en route to his first Pro Bowl selection.
