Tom Brady became the NFL's all-time leader in passing yards during Sunday night's game against the New England Patriots after completing a 28-yard throw to Mike Evans in the first quarter.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback entered the clash with his former team needing just 68 yards to pass Drew Brees for the historic feat.

NFL career passing yards leaders entering Week 4

Player Yards Years
Drew Brees 80358 2001-2020
Tom Brady 80291 2000-present
Peyton Manning 71940 1998-2015
Brett Favre 71838 1991-2010

It's the latest addition to a long list of accolades that Brady has racked up over his decorated career. The 44-year-old owns the NFL record for regular-season wins (232), playoff wins (34), and touchdown passes (591).

Brady has also accrued seven Super Bowl victories, and he's one of only two quarterbacks to win titles with multiple franchises, along with Peyton Manning.

Sunday's game marked Brady's first in New England since leaving the Patriots for the Buccaneers during the 2020 offseason.

He enjoyed an unprecedented run of dominance during his 20-year stay in Foxborough, with six of Brady's seven Super Bowls coming with the franchise. He also led the league in passing yards on three occasions and was named league MVP three times.
